Fifteen men have been convicted and sentenced to over 200 years in prison for involvement in the Easter Sunday bombings of 2019 in Sri Lanka.
The devastating attacks targeted three churches and three hotels, killing over 200 people – amongst them, many believers. Now, seven years of pain and grief later, the pursuit of justice is seeing results.
The suspects were prosecuted under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. Murder, conspiracy and illegal firearms possession are only three of the unprecedented 23,270 charges levied against the suspects, resulting in a sentencing of 220 years.
Praise God for his mercy in hearing the cries of his people in Sri Lanka. Please pray that Christians across the nation would have peace at this time.
