Every Spring, Ramsbottom hosts thousands of people from Ramsbottom and the surrounding area to commemorate the 1940s. We open the church, put on a free-of-charge display, show 1940s documentary films, offer free tea, coffee, cake and face-painting (for the children) to all who come in!
It is without doubt that Ramsbottom is an extremely colourful and diverse community. With a varied range of social backgrounds, it boasts a population of between 17-18,000
Over recent years we have enjoyed contact with many families from the Peel Brow estate and felt it would be a great place to share the love of God, and true message of Christianity.
Most people have appreciated our friendly and sincere approach. Without being in any way pushy or pressurising, we listen and discuss to the concerns, fears and issues people have, weather it be religious, social or otherwise. This approach has helped us gain the respect and confidence of many we have spoken to.
It has also gone a long way in helping people to better understand the real message of the gospel, the love God, and His incredible work of salvation, through the sacrifice of His own Son, and has certainly given us great opportunities to build more meaningful relationships.
People can see and appreciate that we are not just here today and gone tomorrow. Rather we are here because we love God, and want to make a difference in sharing His love through the Christian message. We demonstrate through personal testimony of His great love for us, and how that has had a positive impact on our life’s. Our aim is to positively share that through His forgiveness, made possible through Jesus Christ, God wants to be very much part of their life, bringing the assurance of eternal life in what the bible calls heaven. We believe this is the most wonderful message of hope and salvation the world could ever know.
We know that none of us deserve the salvation that God offers us through the death of His Son. It is only by His Grace alone that we can share this life transforming message, and we consider it the greatest privilege to do so.
The next time you answer a knock at the door, before you politely ask them to leave, check out whether they are from Trinity Grace Church first. You could be turning away something far greater than winning the national lottery; it could be an opportunity to hear of the greatest message of salvation you will ever hear.
