Reformation in Hungary- Our Reformed Baptist partners in Budapest

One of our members here in Ramsbottom, Robert Kiss, was born and grew up in Budapest, Hungary. It was a great joy for him to discover the ministry of Miki Chiciudeanin in his home city and God has blessed Robert through this connection. Miki visited us in the summer of 2019 and our fellowship with him grew and developed. There is a great need for the gospel in Hungary as it has faced years of oppression. Pray for Miki and all who serve in the church.

Summer Update 2026

The church writes:

“We are thankful to our Lord for this first half of the year 2026. We have experienced God’s grace in sustaining us and even granting much encouragement amidst changing times. The new church building is gradually taking shape in the new location in the 14th district of Budapest. The first phase of construction and renovation is now complete.

The usual two Sunday services continue under the teaching ministry of Pastor Miki, and his assistant, Viktor Frank. A brother who is currently pursuing Theology online at the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary has recently joined the membership with his family, and in a few occasions has stepped in to preach. We are so thankful if you remember these dear brothers in your prayers. The services still have different emphases – teaching in the morning and evangelistic in the afternoon. Our God has blessed these ministries so far, we are thankful to Him. Most of the other services are now resumed after some had stalled during the transitional period. Thanks be to our God that He has moved people to come to the new place, so we are glad to see several newcomers as visitors at our church. One family comes from as far as Pécs (a city in the south of Hungary, three hours of driving, one way).”
