“For many of us, getting water is simply turning on one of the many taps in our home. However, for many families in Nigeria, getting water means walking long distances – 5k or more and then carrying the heavy containers on their head back to their community. So, asking someone to ‘put the kettle on for a brew’ is easier said than done. In fact, you wouldn’t say it unless you really want them to spend the rest of the day going to fetch water so you can have that brew. TASTE is working in Nigerian communities to provide them with water so that if they do want a ‘quick brew’ it would indeed be as ‘quick’ as you and I understand it. Thank you for helping us make ‘a quick brew’ possible in many communities, with your continued help we can ensure other communities can ‘put the kettle on.’”
