If providence is the outworking of God’s rule, then our fear reveals whether we truly believe God is holy and righteous in what he appoints.
Providence can be a terrifying subject, not because God is unclear, but because we are. When the Lord appoints circumstances we would never choose, our hearts instinctively rise with questions, fears, and anxieties. Yet Scripture repeatedly presses one great lesson upon us. Do not fear providence, fear God.
