At least 26 people were killed and many hospitalised on Sunday 29th March 2026 at an open-air gathering in Gari Ya Waye community Angwan Rukuba in Jos, Plateau State after an unprovoked attack by Islamist militants. A 48-hour curfew came into force in parts of Jos following a subsequent retaliatory response by locals. Please pray for Christian organisations which have to attend the aftermath to support victims and transport them to hospital and also arrange temporary secure shelters for those who have been displaced. As you pray for these victims of this and other the unprovoked attacks, please remember our Christian brothers and sisters in other states of the country where the killing continue with seemingly little or no effective response by the authorities.
