SGA report: We continue to uphold Ukraine in prayer as the war enters its fifth year. Stanislav – One year ago, Stanislav, the son-in-law of our sponsored missionary Sergey, was captured and forcibly sent to the front lines. During combat, he came under heavy fire and was seriously injured. By God’s mercy, his life was spared. Following several surgeries, he is now recovering and gradually regaining strength. Give thanks for God’s protection over his life. Pray for his continued healing and full restoration. Pray for his wife, Katya, as she supports and cares for him during this difficult time.

Yulia and Polina – It has been three years since Yulia’s husband went missing in action. Despite the ongoing uncertainty and heartache, Yulia faithfully ministers to other women facing similar circumstances.

Pray that the Lord will sustain her with strength, hope, and comfort.

Pray for her daughter, Polina, who has a weakened immune system and is suffering from severe inflammation of the lymphatic system. Ask the Lord to bring healing and renewed health.

During a recent SGA prayer meeting, Igor Bandura shared the following urgent requests as Ukraine marked the fourth anniversary of the war:

  • Pray for a just and lasting peace — that God would restrain evil, expose the truth, and guide negotiations grounded in justice, including the return of thousands of abducted children.
  • Pray for protection — over civilians, energy infrastructure, and essential services. Remember those enduring blackouts, as well as emergency services and repair workers who risk their lives daily.
  • Pray for spiritual awakening — that many would turn to Christ in the midst of suffering. Ask for boldness, wisdom, and renewed strength for pastors, evangelists, and church leaders who are physically, emotionally, and spiritually weary.
  • Pray for families separated by war — for soldiers serving at the front and for wives and children waiting at home, that God would sustain them and, in time, reunite them.
