The Charismatic Movement in Kenya has lately undergone multiple genetic mutations in its DNA such that we are no longer talking about a monolithic group. One of the implications is that we are staring at a spectrum of pneumatological heresies. Further to this, I suppose it may be difficult at this time to tell whether we are dealing with ‘Christianisation’ of the African Traditional Religion or ‘Africanisation’ of the Christian Religion, or even both. What this means is that the Reformed Community, being on the minority, is swimming upstream. It was against this background that we sought to reexamine the biblical teaching on the Person & Work of the Holy Spirit last year December.
