Brought To The Blessings of Salvation

Oliver Allmand-Smith addresses the Grace Baptist Assembly with the remarkable life-story of Manchester Minister William Gadsby, who overcame severe poverty and many other disadvantages to become regarded by his contemporaries as a gifted preacher.

Gadsby ministered at Black Lane Chapel in Manchester, UK from 1805 until he died in 1844. Not only did he bring many desperately poor and deprived working folk to the blessings of salvation in Christ Jesus, he also played a significant role in championing their cause before the social and political elite of his time.

This incredible story will encourage and inspire us to serve Christ faithfully and to overcome in the face of all that is against us for the good of those in the greatest need in our own day.
